Neurodiverse City Connection
Affirming neurodiversity. Empowering authenticity. Building self-confidence. Encouraging unmasking.

Hello, I'm Alex Lioznov!
I founded Neurodiverse City Connection after recognizing a significant gap in support for neurodivergent adults seeking meaningful connection, guidance, and community.
Many neurodivergent individuals grow up feeling misunderstood, socially awkward, or like they don’t quite fit anywhere. I created Neurodiverse City Connection to help bridge that gap and build a supportive, safe, and encouraging space where neurodivergent adults can better understand themselves, develop meaningful relationships, and feel a true sense of belonging.
My coaching focuses on supporting neurodivergent adults who feel like outsiders in social spaces or who have spent years masking parts of themselves in order to fit in. Many of my clients come to coaching feeling anxious in conversations, unsure how to build friendships, or questioning whether something is “wrong” with them. Together, we work on developing greater self-understanding, recognizing personal strengths, and building the social confidence needed to create authentic connections.
My work is grounded in a neurodivergent-affirming, strengths-based approach that prioritizes self-acceptance and growth. I believe neurodivergent individuals do not need to change who they are in order to belong. Instead, my coaching helps clients better understand their natural communication styles, appreciate the strengths that come with their neurodivergence, and develop practical strategies for navigating the social and relational challenges they want to improve.
Many clients I work with describe themselves as socially awkward, anxious, or like lifelong “misfits.” Coaching provides a supportive environment where we can explore those experiences with curiosity rather than judgment. Together, we break social challenges into manageable steps, practice communication strategies, and build tools that help relationships feel more natural and less overwhelming.
My goal is to help neurodivergent adults feel more confident in who they are, build meaningful friendships and relationships, and move through the world with greater self-trust. Through Neurodiverse City Connection, I hope to continue growing a community where neurodivergent individuals feel understood, valued, and supported as they build lives and relationships that feel authentic to them.

🐾 I recently foster-failed a mini poodle (somewhere between 3 and 9 years old), and I’m completely obsessed with her.
🗣 I’m fluent in Russian and English—but when it comes to reading or writing in Russian, I’m basically at a kindergarten level!
👯♀️ My sister found out she’s autistic at 40—and it’s been beautiful watching her embrace her identity and thrive in a whole new way.
🎓 I’m a speech therapist and a coach, and I absolutely love the work I do.
🧠 I suspected I was neurodivergent for years and finally got diagnosed with ADHD in the spring of 2025. I’ve also been living with Generalized Anxiety Disorder for a long time.
💍 I’m married to my best friend, and I feel lucky every single day for that.
🍽 I’m a super picky eater (and not proud of it), but...
🍕 I do LOVE deep dish cheese pizza—it’s my ultimate comfort food.
📚 I’m passionate about learning more about neurodiversity and consider myself a lifelong student in this space.
