Hello, I'm Alex Lioznov!

I founded Neurodiverse City Connection after recognizing a significant gap in support for neurodivergent adults seeking meaningful connection, guidance, and community.

Many neurodivergent individuals grow up feeling misunderstood, socially awkward, or like they don’t quite fit anywhere. My goal in creating this space was to help bridge that gap—offering a supportive, safe, and encouraging environment where neurodivergent adults can better understand themselves, build meaningful relationships, and experience a true sense of belonging.

My work is grounded in a neurodivergent-affirming, strengths-based approach that prioritizes self-acceptance and growth. I believe neurodivergent individuals do not need to change who they are in order to belong. Instead, coaching focuses on helping clients understand their natural communication styles, recognize their strengths, and develop practical strategies for navigating the social and relational challenges they want to improve.

Many of the clients I work with describe themselves as socially awkward, anxious, or like lifelong “misfits.” They often feel like outsiders in social spaces or have spent years masking parts of themselves to fit in. Coaching provides a supportive environment to explore these experiences without judgment. Together, we break social challenges into manageable steps, practice communication strategies, and build tools that help relationships feel more natural and less overwhelming.

My goal is to help neurodivergent adults feel more confident in who they are, build meaningful friendships and relationships, and move through the world with greater self-trust. Through Neurodiverse City Connection, I aim to continue growing a community where neurodivergent individuals feel understood, valued, and supported as they create lives and connections that feel authentic to them.

Bamba and Alexandra

🐾 I recently foster-failed a mini poodle (somewhere between 3 and 9 years old), and I’m completely obsessed with her.

🗣 I’m fluent in Russian and English—but when it comes to reading or writing in Russian, I’m basically at a kindergarten level!

👯‍♀️ My sister found out she’s autistic at 40—and it’s been beautiful watching her embrace her identity and thrive in a whole new way.

🎓 I’m a speech therapist and a coach, and I absolutely love the work I do.

🧠 I suspected I was neurodivergent for years and finally got diagnosed with ADHD in the spring of 2025. I’ve also been living with Generalized Anxiety Disorder for a long time.

💍 I’m married to my best friend, and I feel lucky every single day for that.

🍽 I’m a super picky eater (and not proud of it), but...

🍕 I do LOVE deep dish cheese pizza—it’s my ultimate comfort food.

📚 I’m passionate about learning more about neurodiversity and consider myself a lifelong student in this space.
